OK, After some troubleshooting I uninstalled the app from all 4 devices master and client.
When app is installed newly and the question is asked if you want thermostat or client I choose thermostat.
I have to press the Google login button and then it shows “unknown error happened”.
It happens on all the Android devices when set up for thermostat and which are running Android 4+ software.Paco

Unknown error appeared again.
Master en clients are all on Version 80.
I cant set the programs either.
In manual mode the relay only switched on.
It must be a server error.Thanks, Paco
Hello, I have to take some findings back.
Your correct about setting EACH day with the program. I only did one day expecting all days were the same. Me bad.
For the boost temp not passing 21 degrees is just me again be wrong. The maximum temp was set at 21 degrees instead of 23 I thought it was.
If boost is set and current room temp is higher as the boost temp set the function is disabled.
I wait for all devices do auto update to version 80 and report back for the android 5.0 problem.Thanks again.

Hello, the master runs Android 9.
The time difference on the master is now correct and not three minutes.
But since version 74 I have this other problem.
I assigned a single program at 16.5 degrees and saved it, by standard the value is 20 degrees.
I switch ON the program to Auto mode. It displays 16.5 as setpoint temp.
At 0.00 hour (midnight) the value of the Auto mode is set to 20 degrees automatically.
With version 73 I did not had this problem.one client runs 5.1.1 android but currently gives the STOP message when I try to open the app.
So I cant get the info screen.
Is this enough info?Paco

FYI.All devices I use were upgraded to version 78 prod automatically from 74.
If have one phone running Android 5.1.1 which gives the connection error if I want to make it a client by scanning the QR code.
Not important for me but just for your knowledge.One client Samsung Galaxy TAB A shows difference of 3 minutes update time in the status screen.
If I set boost temp higher as 22 it gives an error that it can not be set that high. 21 works fine. Max temp is set in configuration at 23 degrees.

Version 74 is alive. Wait patiently for version 75 🙂
Programs still not working but warmer weather is coming so less stress by my wife.BTW setting up new setpoints shedules is < 5 minute work.
Why I love this smart thermostat is the boost function which you can not find in any other thermostat project running esp32 or alike.

Version 73 and IP address shown is 192.168.1.11 according to the stats.
But this IP address is not responding.
When I check on the previous known IP address 192.168.1.19 I nicely get the correct data…

I thought all worked fine.
Another android mobile device.
Runs version 73.
Boost mode works fine and instantly the heater is switched ON.
But program runs but when roomtemp is lower as setpoint of the program the heater does not switch ON.
New google account created and used.
Set up as master on Samsung Galaxy Tab a10.
Same problem.
Boost works fine.
Program does not activate the heater when roomtemp is below setpoint.
This is tested with standard active program with setpoint lowered to 15 degrees and then saved and exit.Paco

I got the problem solved at my side.
Fidling around I have taken another android mobile phone as master which works fine now also with the clients.
The old mobile phone after removing the thermostat app would not connect to google play anymore to download the app.Paco
This is the error I got when I on the master change the program and save and exit.
Master still runs the program but keeps popping up the the unkown error.Paco
Sorry I am currently on holiday and have no access to the thermostat.
I left when the problem happened. It all worked fine until out of the blue the unknown error happened as described.
I know it is a hobby project.
No idea about the google log in and such.When I am back I will report.
