    Hi!

I think I fixed the crash that happens for android version 5. I just published the version 80 on the play store, it could take one day or two until the app is reviewed and published.

Please let me know if you are able to start the app on Android 5.0 with the version 80.

@PacoRaap: Maybe this is not a bug at all. Please check what the temperature of the next day is. For example, if you set in your program the temperature for Monday to 16.5ยบ, but you don’t customize the temperature for Tuesday, then at 00:00 hour, when the date jumps to the next day, the termostat will load the setup for the next day, and adjust the objective temperature.

Maybe you forgot to configure all the days of the week?

    Please let me know

    Regards

    Hi Paco Raap,

When you have a free minute, could you please send me a screenshot of the ‘Info’ screen (where the version and other information is displayed) for each device that’s giving you trouble?

    Thanks a lot

I will try to reproduce your problems, and hopefully fix them.

One question: which version of Android is running your Thermostat device?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi again,

My apologies for not being able to fix your problem.

Could you share with me the android version of the old phone, where the app does not work anymore?

    Thanks in advance.

    Dear user,

    I have a question.

Diagnosing the error is quite challenging, and it seems to only occur sporadically for two users. I suspect it may have something to do with the user account, which is why I need some more detailed information.

When you first encountered the error, did you delete your user account from the server using the available option in the settings section of the app?

Is the Google email account you used to log into the mobile app the same as the one you use to log into this website (you don’t need to write it here)?

Could you try logging into the mobile app with a different Google account to see if that works?

Another option could be to delete your user account from the website, but I’m not sure if that will have any effect. If all else fails, we can try that.

    Best regards,

    Hi again,

I promise I will take a look at it, but it will take a while, as this is only a hobby project and I don’t have much time.

In the meanwhile, could you describe exactly when you get the error? By trying to login the first time after installing the app?

    Thank in advance.

    Hi!

I took a look at the server, and it was in an unstable state for reasons I couldn’t determine. After restarting it, I was able to connect without any issues.

Could you please try again and let me know if it works, or if it does not work?

    Best regards and thank you

    Hi again,

I’m sorry, but I’m not able to reproduce the problem. I’m not saying that the problem does not exists, only that I’m not able to reproduce it.

Maybe you coudl a video showing the process of pairing the client to the thermostat? I mean, the whole process of reading the qr code with the client, etc. Maybe I’m able to see something strange on the video.

It would be helpful to know which kind of device you are using for the client (model, etc).

    Thank you in advance,

    Hi!

Those who are having problems with the clients (v73). Could you provide more information?

Is there any kind of error message, or something that can point me in the right direction?

    Hi there!

I would not say, that it is not the right solution. It seems that the board you are using is not exactly the same as the board I used to develop the project, and it behaves differently when it comes to modifying the CPU frequency.

The ‘slowDownCpu’ function is used to slightly slow down the CPU and save energy, as it’s not at all necessary to run at the maximum speed the ESP board can offer. Removing this function will only result in your ESP board consuming a bit more energy, but it will likely be negligible.

    Regards!

Indeed, if the temperature sensor is not properly connected, an error occurs. So, is it working correctly, or is there some other issue?

    Hi!

thanks for reporting this issue. I checked the programs feature, and indeed, it seems to be a problem. Please, give me a couple of days to fix the bug an publish a new release. I will post here as soon as the new version is available.
